Great light for the Money,

"Bought this as a gift, after my Brother in Law installed it we have used it more than once in his garage. The light is easy to position with the attached hook and is bright. In the past we have only had the older incandecent bulb lights, if dropped you were in the dark. This product has a fully encased bulb that has so far has proven very sturdy. The 40 ft heavy cord is handy with the plug on it but the weight of the cord seems to make recoil a little slow and you may have to pull back and start over. I would recommend and buy another as a replacement or as a new install."

"I have three of these. I use one in my attic as well as in the barn and garage. I like the fact that it has a hook so you don't have to use the magnet. Some lights come with magnets, which just get filled with crud over time. The attachment is solid. After much abuse, these lights are still working and the retract mechanism works reliably in the bitter cold."

Design Flaw...,

"Over all this is a great light. My only issue and it is a big one is that there is too much cord for this light to be able to retract properly when you wish to retract it. It takes several minute of fiddling with it to get it to retract to any where close to where you want it to be. I have it hanging from a 14 ceiling next to my lift. Great when you need it and provides excellent light and the outlet helps greatly. If it would just retract when I wanted to do so would be great.

Overall... there's better out there and I'd pay more if I could find it. You get what you pay for here."

"The lighting in my garage is horrible, especially at night, and this little light has helped me through many projects. The metal hook on top works great for hanging the light above the work area and the small size makes it nice to fit into tight areas when working on an automobile. "I bought this to go in the garage as a true drop light. It was easy to mount and gives off adequate lighting. I have had ogther drop shop lights that were brighter btut not as ruggedly built and you had to keep replacing the bulbs. I would recommend this light to anyone who needs a drop down shop light. A big plus is the light in the end as well as the hanger."
