The main difference between the DC820 and the DWO59K-2 is the torque rating. The DC820 has a max of 145 ft-lbs, while the DWO59K-2 has a max torque rating of 300 ft-lbs, which means the DWO59K-2 is a heavier duty tool.

Dewalt Impact Wrench This is an awesome impact wrench. I had a trailer the has been sitting of almost 10 years without having the lug nuts removed. On the first try the impact wrench removed all 10 lung nuts without any problems. I would recommend this product to anyone. May 14, 2012

Best Buy for the Buck Purchased this Impact Wrench for mostly camping. Use it for setting the stablizers for my camping trailer. While all other campers are still cranking theirs down, I am kicking back and enjoying a cold ice tea. The speed of the unit is quick, but when it changes to the impact mode, the wrench never slows down. This wrench also has its' second function, and that was when I had an unexpected flat tire on my camper. In no time I was able to have the lug nuts off and spare tire installed. I found this very helpful/safe due to the fact that it's very dangerous changing a tire on the side of the road. Even though the wrench is on the heavy side, it is very well balanced and the weight helps when it goes into impact mode. At this point, I haven't found anything that I dislike about this impact wrench. Very happy with the life of the battery. June 14, 2011

impact wrench I bought one of these and it is the best tool. i use it all the time for rotating my tires and working on things around the house. It has a lot of power, as much as a air wrench. I always beleave in the saying you get what you pay for and DeWalt is top of the line. I would suggest this item to everyone. Dan, June 13, 2011

Weak I must have gotten a dud. The impulse of the impact seems to be different compared to an air driven 1/2 impact. It wouldn't loosen an oil drain plug, I tried switching to fresh batteries, but it didn't make a difference. I was using a swivel and extension to get, and since there was not a firm direct bearing on the bolt it couldn't budge it. As a final test I tried to remove a Lug nut that was torqued to 102 ft-lbs. It did remove it, but it felt like it was just barely. I don't buy the dewalt torque rating. Otherwise it’s a lot larger than an air impact and will not fit into most spots for automotive work. It is more a construction tool that automotive tool. April 7, 2011

Dewalt cordless 1/2in 18volt impact I have had this impact for almost 5 years now and had always worked great, lots of power, xrp batteries last a long time and its nice having several tools with the same batteries, came with two batteries, hard case and charger, its is slightly big and bulky but for what i use it it works very well. only complaint i have is that the pin that holds sockets on can make it quite difficult to remove a socket once in a while but only a small issue. deffinatly would buy another when this one quits March 22, 2011

dewalt 18volt cordless impact wrench Great tool to have on the road, makes changing flat tires a quick job. Good power and battery life is fairly long. It's alot of money to spend on just one tool but is worth it. Would reccomend to anybody. March 22, 2011

the best for a break down to start with i would say that this impact is a very great tool for a fast tire change on the side of the road if you have a blow out. its helped me cut the hassel of getting out the four way bar to change it. also it has the power to be used in a shop if you dont want to worry about getting out an air powered one. the only thing i dont care for is the weight kind of heavy if useing over head/ March 21, 2011

A little bulky, but great! A friend recommended this to me. He uses one when working on motorcycles. I bought it for swapping wheels at track events, but I ended up using it for a lot more than that. - It is a little bulky, so it won't fit in every situation. - There have been a couple of times where it didn't have enough torque, but for the most part it does great. - Battery life has been pretty good, and the batteries are compatible with my other Dewalt tools March 21, 2011

If you're looking at it...buy it NOW! Had bought more equipment that required air tool use to remove wear items in the field sometimes. I don't own a portable compressor, so this seemed to fit the bill. Had to change brush mower blades which require some monstrous torque and this rattled the nuts off with ease! I was sold on the first use. Now it travels with me on the road and I even have offered to change flats for people on the side of the road...I believe they were sold on it and went out and bought one too? Great to have when someone else socked on your lugnuts with a airgun. December 15, 2010
