Northern Industrial Air Drill - 3/8in. Chuck, 1800 RPM, 4 CFM, Reversible, Keyless
Pretty good drill
Balance is pretty good. Torque is okay for drilling smaller holes and driving some screws, not much more. I’m not so sure that the directional switch is going to last very long as it is made of some sort of “composite” plastic. Overall, it seems to be a pretty good, inexpensive drill.

Great drill body ... chuck not so much ...
I have had two of these and have had three of the 1/2 inch chuck drills. I really like to body - comfortable, long lasting if oiled before each use, no more noise that would be expected, nicer feel to it than the all metal bodied drills.
But this is the second 3/8ths on which the chuck jam up to the point where it was necessary to destroy the outer covering on the chuck to get the drill bit out of it. I had similar problems with the first two 1/2 inch drills so the third 1/2 inch I purchased had the keyed chuck on it and I've not had any problems with it since then - other than trying to keep track of the key ;-}
But - regretfully - Northern does not offer the 3/8th in a keyed chuck version so I many need to look for a keyed chuck to go on a very good drill body.

Great Air Drill
I bought this air drill and am very happy with it. I have no problems with the keyless chuck.
This drill has reverse, it is comfortable to hold and use. I am very happy with this drill in fact I liked it so much I bought the 1/2 inch version of this drill as well.

Quality seems to be in there in every detail but one.
Trigger is a bit flimsy.
Overall power and chuck is fine.
Cant beat this drill or any NT products for the cost.

Inexpensive yet very powerful. Surprised by quality considering the price.
Will purchase again. I also have Ingersol Rand and Chicago Pneumatic.

Keyless chuck performs poorly
Drill is well built for the price. However, the chuck does not grip well on smaller drill bits.
