Torin Double-Locking Ratchet Action Jack Stands - 6-Ton Capacity, Model# T46002A
The cornerstone of my auto hobby shop
After years of using 3 ton jackstands (which were fine working on my Miata), I needed to step up to something bigger to make up the height in my Jeep. These were the next logical step up, and they're great. Not only are they taller but they are also a lot wider and more stable. I used these (1 at each corner) of my Jeep's frame when I was installing new springs all around. They held up great and were easy to use and to drop the pin on as soon as the load was eased.

holds up very well ! like the double-locking. the extra safety feature is more reassuring when laying under my car or truck.

I have a couple muscle cars and I am working on them all the time. I personally know of two different people who have died from a car falling off the jacks in my lifetime. I have never felt totally comfortable using jack stands because of it. I have used my Torin 6 Ton Double locking stands many times now. Man, does it feel good crawling under a car that you know is stable! I really love also that these stands raise almost two feet working height also! I really do not know how they could improve on these jacks. I am going to get rid of my old ones in case something happens to me, I do not want my kids or grand kids using the old ones and possibly getting hurt some day. I am ordering a second set today because I like them so much! I plan on holding a project car jacked up with four of these! Did I mention they look awesome also being red with black braces! A great addition to any shop.

Purchased these jack stands 1 year ago to the day, and have used them often during that time. I really like the safety pin lock set up, it makes me feel mor secure under a vehicle. Fit and finish is very good, and for anyone that has not bent the safety tab in, I simply struck the tab with a hammer and large punch. The finish is holding up well in my humid, unheated garage. If I ever have to replace this set, I will be purchasing these again. Good tool.

Torin Double Locking 6 Ton Jack Stands
Overall very satisfied with the jack stands. I bought two pair to put my current jeep project on. Prior to purchasing these I already own other Torin jack stands. They have all been structurally sound with no issues, and I'm sure these will prove to be the same. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 is because one of the stands sticks. i.e. when you pull the ratchet lever up, the stand falls back down as it should but the ratchet lever stays stuck in the up position. It's not a big deal, but it's kind of annoying when raising the stand up again and you have to push the lever to get it to lock in the appropriate tooth. I'm not sure if something is bent or what. Out of all the Torin stands I own this is the only one with any issue, and it's minor at that.

Finally replaced my old timers with these. Going back tomorrow for a second set. Particularly like the safety pin feature, as I've had a ratchet-type stand fall by one tooth many years ago. Wasn't under it at the time, but it sure spooked me into being very, very careful with LOTS of redundancy whenever something is on jack stands.

We love these jacks in our shop. They work great for holding up the trucks and trailers. And not only that they make everyone feel more safe under them with the slide in secondary lock feature.

Jack stand that are safe
These are big jack stands and have the one critical thing that most do not...a safety pin. It has the normal ratchet lever but without that pin these would be the same as the rest. I'm not afraid to crawl under the car with these properly placed because I know they can't fall or slip off the ratchet. You do miss your big chance to make the news at 11:00 by being the latest flattened mechanic.

Great jack stands
I use these daily for holding up heavy vehicles, sometimes getting very close to their maximum capacity, and they have never failed...very trustworthy!

Very Nice stands, they have a large footprint and are very rugged. I've only used them a couple of times but i certaintly feel much safer having these. worth the extra few dollars for the additional height if you need it.
