"Installing this filter has made a difference in the quality of water to my home. I’m on a well and was getting a lot of sediment floating around in our drinking water. The filter has taken care of that.
I did have to purchase additional silicone plumber’s grease to stop a small leak around the threads of the unit."

"I thought all filters of this type were the same. Now that I use this one the differences are apparent. OK, the filters themselves are the same, use the one you need for the filtration results you need. But the Flotec has a clear body so you know how dirty the actual filter is. also the clear housing has grooves on it making it easy to remove with a large pair of water pump pliers. the supplied wrench is strong enough most of the time and it's steel so no broken plastic wrenches. But the built in shut off is the icing on the cake no extra valves to buy. and a smaller number of joints that might leak. Will be getting another for the cabin next summer. A real nice unit that outshines the competition."
