"This will trench right through scattered 4-6" rocks. Works super in clean dirt but we have iron ore rock scattered in our dirt, The first couple of times I hit a serious rock, I let it go a minute to be sure it wasn't a small one. When it kept grinding we stopped and dug out a 6" rock with a groove already half through. We installed 1800' of sprinkler pipe in 3 days and saved thousands. I wish they had a way where you could send in an old one to be re-tipped."
