Have threaded over 30pcs of black pipe!,

"I acquired all the existing black pipe compressed air line from a building recently tore down as part of a scheduled factory rejuvenation. I have since built a home shop air line with the parts & pieces I salvaged. I have had to cut and piece together 1", 1/2" and 3/8" sections of black pipe and rethread in order to make everything fit my layout. The only problem I've had that gets frustrating is the dies don't "lock" into ratchet very well! Not usually more than an inconvenience when cutting threads on pipe anchored in the horizontal position but occasionally i've had to clamp pipe vertically and keeping the die locked into ratchet is very challenging! But in approx 20 1" rethreads not a single issue, and least a dozen each of other two smaller-sized pipes no problems. Oil can is cheap but seems to work fine! And if not, most thread cutting oil bottles come with a flip up lid so just use that!!? Not really a huge issue in my book! When done pour remainder back in "master bottle" to keep cheap can from leaking when stored in case!! Just be sure to use lots of oil and should have good results...on bigger pipe when die starts gettin stuck I just reverse ratchet n clean threads out few turns, reoil and continue on. Used at least 40x's since I got a week ago and done what it was supposed to do 100% of the time...and I finished project so to me it definately worth the investment! I'm happy! And Momma REAL happy cuz next option was like $200 more LOL! Win-win"

Not bad for occasional use,

"My wife bought this for me as a present. When it arrived the case was all cracked up inside because it is the cheap hard type plastic. The oil can was bent from the parts faling around in the case. I threw out the oil can and use wd-40 because the oil can leaks and is of poor quality. I have used the threader for 1/2" ridged conduit. It worked rather well. The only problems are the head is a little big for the smaller dies and the handle is a pain to put together every time you neede to use it. I am an electrician that does some commercial work but don't have a need yet for anything more than this tool. If you need to thread a couple of pipes a year this is the threader for you."

"Product is ok and works fine if you use a lot of cutting oil. If you try to force it the threads will come out all messed up. If you take your time it works all right. Product is ok for Home Handyman who only needs it a few times a year."

"Product is very good and works very well if you use a lot of cutting oil. If you try to force it the threads will come out with some small pieces missing. If you take your time it works very well. Product is great for Home Handyman."
