Reliable Product
I purchased this product to upgrade an older trailer that didn't have a breakaway system. The directions were easy to read and the additional diagram also helped out. The battery holds a charge for an extended period of time as I didn't use the trailer all winter, but the indicator still showed it had a full charge. I would definitely recommend it for a replacement or retrofit on any trailer.

Very nice unit
Unit is just as described. Comes with all necessary hardware and wiring to attach to trailer. Very rugged housing, time will tell about how good the battery is!

Excellent product
I purchased this emergency trailer brake battery kit to install on a horse trailer that I was re-conditioning. I chose it because not only does it automatically charge the battery when the trailer is on the road, but it also has a very convenient set of indicator lights that confirm battery charge at the push of a button. Installation was very easy, and it works like a champ! Well worth the $$ since other comparably priced brake batteries do not have the test or charge features.

This works great. Easy to install on my trailer. I hope I never have to use it for its intended purpose though, but it's nice knowing its there.

TAP Engager Breakaway Kit is the Bomb!!!
I have bought two of these units for different trailers, they both work great! This is an all in one unit that is easy to install, it comes with easy to read instructions. I highly recommend this product to anyone with a trailer that needs a breakaway kit.

Great breakaway box, great price!!
Unit is well built and easy to install,, hope I never have to see how it works, but it will definitely give me some reassurance while towing.

Nice Self Contained Unit
This is a nice self contained unit. I like the way it encloses the battery and the fact that it can fit inside a 6" channel for mounting. I do not know how I feel about the test feature, it may be a way for "The Man" to easily write you a ticket. I guess it will depend at what battery voltage it shows the battery as "Bad."

TAP Engager Breakaway Kit with LED Test Light
I replaced my old breakaway system on my 24 ft car hauler with the TAP Engager Breakaway Kit with LED Test light. Product was easy to install with very good directions. The Test light feature is a great advantage to my old one. You can see the battery condition easily. The charging system works very well. I just completed a 900 mile trip using this product. The peace of mind instantly knowing the condition of the battery was very reassuring.

Breakaway Kit
I replaced the breakaway kit on my vehicle hauling trailer when I had the brakes on the double axles fixed. It works well and the price saved me a bundle over what I would have had to pay at the repair shop.

TAP Engager Breakaway Kit with LED Test Light
I bought a trailer that had brakes but no breakaway setup. My setup went easy.. I bought a new wiring harness at the time and wired it all in one shot. If you've never seen one before it had 3 wires. A ground, power, and a feed tied into the brake wiring. If the pin is pulled out(clipped from trailer to truck) the unit will power the brakes on the trailer.
