How wide are the trays?

One tray is 18 1/2" L x 4" W, the second tray is 20 1/2" L x 3 1/2" W.

How do the sockets stay on?

Details:

I would like to be able to hang these rather than have them lay flat but I'm not sure if the sockets would stay on.

Answers

The sockets just slide over the spikes mounted onto the tray. This trays are not designed to be hung.

Find your sockets/missing sockets easy I bought six of these global trays. 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 for my standard & metric sockets. The problem I have is I have a couple of sockets that won't fit over the sticks. Had to drill out the inside of my sockets. A friend of mine turned me on to these & all his sockets basically fell on. But he had Snap-on sockets where I have Craftmans. But, I still like the appearance & how easy to find a socket missing. KIDS! LOL. I would recommend this for any tool box. Good Luck! March 12, 2013

Nice socket organizer These work great for keeping your sockets organized. Allows you to find the correct socket quickly and easily. I've had the 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 trays for a couple years and I'm very pleased with them. October 15, 2012

Quick to find sockets I have tried a half dozen socket organizers and by far the Hansen Global are the best for me. I have a drawer full of sockets so having a tray that keeps the sockets upright is important. The sockets will not tip over and identification is quick and easy, my wife likes to help me and now she has no problem finding the correct size socket. October 10, 2012

great usefull product Ive owned these for awhile now and the only negative thing I can say is the 1/2 inch drive doesn't have an 1 3/16" peg for the socket. otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars. October 10, 2011
