"This cord reel is awesome. I mounted it in the center of my 2 car garage and I can have electric anywhere inside the garage and halfway down my driveway. The triple outlet means that I don't have to unplug one tool to plug in another. The retraction is great, I have it above my head so I have to reach up to pull it down and I don't bang into it while walking through the garage.
If I could award it more stars, I would. I would recommend this cord reel to everyone who has a garage."

not so spectacular rectractable,

"Ok it's a cord on a reel that's supposed to retract. It need alot of help in doing so- stop , start, make sure it doesn't pile up on one side. New shop, new cord reel- maybe better than than the undersize reel on others. With the heavy cord, this will be a pile of wire on the floor in the winter when the cord is less pliable. I can see it coming. Wish I bought a pro model with an open reel."

"ABOUT A YEAR AGO I PURCHASED A 33' EXTENSION CORD REEL (#162443) FROM NORTHERN. I HATE TO ROLL UP EXTENSION CORDS AND THOUGHT THIS MIGHT ELIMINATE THAT CHORE. I HAVE A 36' WIDE GARAGE AND MOUNTED THE CORD REEL IN THE CENTER OF THE CEILING. IT FUNCTIONS FLAWLESSLY. IT REACHES TO EVERY CORNER OF MY GARAGE AND I HAVEN'T HAD TO ROLL UP AN EXTENSION CORD SINCE!!!
I WAS AT NORTHERN YESTERDAY AND POINTED THE CORD REEL OUT TO A BUDDY OF MINE THAT HAS HELPED ME WITH SOME OF MY "GARAGE PROJECTS" AT HOME. HE IMMEDIATLEY PUT ONE OF THE CORD REELS IN HIS CART AS HE HAS SEEN HOW CONVENIENT MINE HAS BEEN....... THANX FOR THE GREAT EQUIPMENT."

"As a Manager of a Custom Millwork Shop I'm very concerned with the hazards of allowing multible extension cords
being left to lay on the floor of common work areas. I purchased several of these Retractable Reels and I 'm very satisfied with how easily these cords retract and store away. The Heavy-duty construction of these Reels is a pleasent surprise, as it seems that there are so many makes and models that simply do not work, or breakdown

"I should have got one of these a LONG time ago! I hung this from the center ceiling beams in my metal race shop building, to quit tripping over cords all over the floor. Wow, what a difference and easy accesibility. It has a theee outlet head so I can plug in mutliple tools at once from the same convenience.
My only complaint is that it is often hard to make the locking device catch at certain lengths. Sometimes I have to 'fishing reel' it or snap it a few times before it catches. Other than that it works great, and I may buy a second one..."

"A nice low cost cord reel for the shop. I've been using mine a couple of months now and love it. I have a shop vac attached to it, so I can cover the whole garage, and it reaches to the outside so I can use it with my electric lawn mower.
