  1. Will it run nail guns?

    Wondering if it would run a nail gun and a small air wrench.

    1. It will definitely run a nail gun. It's underpowered for an air tools, but a small air wrench would probably OK provided you're not expecting continuous use

    2. This Porter Cable Compressor delivers 2.6 CFM at 90 PSI. You would check the CFM that is required to operate the nail gun and ratchet that you are using. If it is 2.6 CFM or less it will supply enough air to operate them.

  2. Does this run all the time,

    Does this compressor run all the time, and maintain pressure, Or does it cycle on and off?

    I have seen both in compressors.

    I want one that will get up to pressure then shut the motor off. It will then come back on when it dips below a certain threshold to reach the desired pressure level.
    I know expensive machines do this...I am wondering if this does that...

    1. Yes, this compressor does cycle on and off, once the overall pressure drops below a certain level.

  3. Would you recommend this compressor to operate a small pot paint sprayer for finishing small furniture projects. Is volume sufficient?

    1. Yes, Nail guns and tire inflators as well as air tools. Had mine for a few years now and it works great.

    2. The paint sprayer needs to operate at 2.6 CFM @ 90 PSI or 3.5 CFM @ 40 PSI in order to use the pancake compressor.

  4. I can use this to fill up my car and pick up tires correct, I don't want to be standing there for 10 minutes on 1 tire, I will need between 32 psi and

    1. I use this pump ALL the time. Motorcycles, bicycles ,GMC Sera extended cab , Dodge Vans ect...it handles All the tires we have.
      Also I use a nozel to blow down my work area and grague. This little pump is Great.

    1. This air compressor would only put out 2.6 CFM at 90 PSI. It would not work for a media blaster. You would need to check the CFM and PSI requirements of your media blaster to determine the correct size air compressor needed.

    1. The pancake air compressor would work for air brush painting. You would need to adjust the compressor regulator below the 150 PSI it is rated for.
