Swisher Dump Bucket
This bucket exceeded my expectations. It is extremly well built. It will dig and carry a full load. It has worked perferfect thus far. No complaints.

Dump Bucket
I bought this a few month's ago to use on my Big Bear 400. So far I am extremely happy with it. It moves snow great! I was concerned at first about reviews regarding re-hook after dumping but once I properly adjusted the height and leveled it I have'nt experienced any problems. The only down side is it does not come with the scoring teeth.

Great product for light work only
After using this for a few months about 50 times or so the bracket for the quick release broke. My son welded me a new one but now I have to be so careful with the bucket staying up. You can purchase a new quick release handle for about $65 from Swisher. Great product for light work only

Great tool, well made
I bought this attachment to use for moving dirt and gravel. It does a great job once you get use to it. Much better then shoveling and using a wheel barrel. The only down side to this is getting it to reattach itself to the hook when dumping the bucket. Most of the time I need to get off the quad and manually reattach it. I think Swisher could have come up with a better way of reattaching the bucket once dumped.
For the money I think this attachment is well worth it. Much better then shelling out thousands of dollars for a tractor.

Moving th Dirt
The product has come in very handy. When using the 500 ATV it picks up a good load of dirt, around 3/4 of the bucket, and is easily dumps it at the desired site.
Once you distribute the dirt you can also use it to level out the area by dropping the bucket and dragging it backwards. This saves a little more time as well as back breaking work for you.
As with any new product it takes some time to figure out how it works best for you.
The only drawback I find is that after you dump the load, the latch doesn't always catch and you have to get off your bike and manually reset it. If your moving a lot of dirt this can get a little aggravating.

Swisher ATV Dump Bucket
I used this bucket to spread two truckloads, about 20 yards, of pit-run gravel onto a trail. The ATV was a Yamaha Big Bear 350 and it worked well close to the pile. Hauling material over 200 feet was less productive than shoveling it into a dump cart. I wasn't comfortable going much faster than a couple miles an hour on a bumpy trail with all the weight in front. The bucket held up well and was able to kind of score the base of the gravel pile with the teeth. The finish is tough and hasn't flaked off beyond the wear at the front lip you'd expect.
The bucket has no down pressure but by tripping the bucket and reeling in the winch, I was able to float the bucket and back-drag the trail. It didn't do much but it's not meant to be a drag. I think it weighs 100 pounds so you can't expect much from that.
It saves your back from having to shovel but it's not a front-end loader. It's great for small jobs that are large enough to justify the time to hook it up. It's even kind of fun. Hooking up the bucket itself is a cinch, and takes probably five minutes; it takes longer if you have to bolt on the attachment tube every time.

Swisher Universal ATV Dump Bucket
Interesting design. Once the universal attachment (seperate item) is attached to the bottom of the ATV, this item attaches/unattaches quickly and easily. This bucket has done a great job for me in light duty material pick up. Do not expect it to do very heavy lifting, but for moving sand piles and loose dirt piles around, it does a very good job. It has even done a small amount of digging, but I do not recommend it for this application. I have only used it with a winch and recommend using a winch. Can't imagine using it successfully with the manual lift device.
