Bend Pak scissor lift
Let me start by saying that I am a full time mechanic for the last 13 years and am used to using a two post everyday. This lift has a very good build quality to it, and my quess is that it will last for many years to come. The lift is pretty easy to move around even over cracks in the ground. I changed out the short cheap hose out for a high quality hydrollic hose custom made to 24 feet with no drip quick couplers. I mounted the pump unit on my garage wall and now just use the dolly to move the unit around. Have not ran into any clearance issues with any vehicles yet (lifted about 2 dozen different vehicles now) when driving over the unit. I have found that lifting large unibody SUV's (chevy traverse) can be a challenge to have the arm reach out far enough to grab the pinch welds if the vehicle is not perfectly centered over the lift (will come up short on one side). Every truck with a frame and every sedan car I have been able to get the arms to reach pretty easily. This lift is great for someone that plans to do light duty things with it (brakes, suspension kind of work) even a body guy would like it for doing bumpers and such. The lift seems very strong (lifted my 2011 tundra crewmax with no hesitation) . Overall very satisfied with this lift and highly recommend it for someone looking for a lift in a low ceiling garage.

No more jack and jack stands.
Like the other reviewers, I find the lift to be of excellent build quality. A few things to help others:
+ The lift arrives on a pallet (or in my case two of them). I used various arrangements of 1000 lb mover's dollys and car jacks to get the lift off of the pallets and into place on the floor. If you have a cherry picker, engine crane or hoist your life will be easier.
+ The setup had me worried a bit because the manual has you self prime the system by running up full height and down again (unloaded) a number of times, but sometimes it would refuse to lower and hang here and there. Eventually I got it to lower. I decided to run it up and down a bunch, but not to full height. With a full load on the lift it lowers just fine.
+ There is no info on fastening the swing arms or how much to torque the bolts down. I tightened them down while still allowing them to move freely with little vertical wobble. This seems to work fine and I verified it with other users.
+ The recommended hydraulic fluid is not as easy to come by as the instructions will lead you to believe. Auto stores in my area had never heard of 10W hydraulic fluid. I wound up using hydraulic jack fluid "AW32". Worked just fine.

6000lb scissor lift
I purchased this lift in December 09 and it's been treating me pretty well since then. It's pretty easy to use, but more importantly, it has a girth to it that actually has the feel of a well-designed product. It's easy to move around and doesn't take up all of my garage space (and lord knows space is hard to come by, at least in my garage haha). All in all, this particular scissor lift gets 2 thumbs up from this DIY'er.

Car lift
The mid-rise lift is the right height for a residential garage due to over head clearance. Although too low to stand under, it is a good height to work if sitting on a rolling mechanic's stool.
The unit is robust with a good safety lock system, just remember to flip the release ramp out when you are under the vehicle.
I'd like to see a quick disconnect for the hydraulic line. I fitted one so I can store the power unit away from the lift.
The minor assembly required should take less than an hour, including checking fasteners to be sure they are tight.
The design is simple, easy to operate and strong, too. Lifting speed is good as well. I feel the price is very reasonable for the capability and construction of the lift.

farm lift
The unit appears to be very well built. It provides a good means to lift and work on small farm equipment. One thing it was lacking was a quick disconnect at the lift cylinder so that the pump hose can be removed without getting oil all over when the lift is not in use thereby avoiding having to drive heavy equipment over the hose.
