NorthStar Pressure Washer Surface Cleaner - 11.5in. Dia. Size, Model# FCL300BEM22MLNS
Good Product - Results depend on pressure
Well designed and constructed. I have a 2500 psi washer and wish I had 2800 to 3500 for this product. On concrete drive/sidewalk which had not been washed in 8 years it removed surface dirt well. Cut time to about 1/3 and no streaks. It did not remove green mold and black stains from overhanding trees but neither did using the wand directly on the stain. Probably should have used Crud-Cutter first. It did a great job on brick pavers on lanai, also not washed in 8 years. At 2500 psi it is very easy on the surface. Overall, a great product but would recommend pretreating with Crud-Cutter. Buy this instead of the 20 inch unit if you have a lower pressure washer.

Great for cleaning driveways
Good product for cleaning driveways, however a bit pricey for a plastic product. It should have some additional metal bracing around the top for more rigidity.

Not bad, a few issues
This makes cleaning driveway alot faster. However, there are a few areas that could be improved on:
(1) Since the cleaner is attached to the gun, there is nothing to keep the cleaner from rotating loose. I suppose I could tighten the wand until it won't rotate loose, but I don't want to risk stripping the thread. (2) The cleaner reduces the pressure output, mainly because it has two nozzles. I use a 2.5 gpm 2500 psi washer and it is mostly adequate but some of the moss on the driveway has to be cleaned with a simple nozzle. All surface cleaners of this design will have this issue. You just have to use a more powerful pressure washer, or touch up the tough spots like I do.
(3) Too light. If you turn off the washer and just want to leave the cleaner, it will topple over easily because the weight of the gun is just about the maximum weight the cleaner can counter balance. When in use, because it is so light, sometimes I accidentally lift part of it off the ground and don't realize.
(4) The rubber skirt sometimes binds on the ground, making the cleaner hard to move.
(5) Some flex or pivot is needed between the handle (the gun/wand) and the cleaner so that the operator won't lift it partially off the ground.
If I can do it over, I would probably buy a larger, heavier model with a handle that pivots.

Surface Cleaner for the Homeowner
This cleaner is very easy to use for the regular homeowner to clean the surfaces of patios, sidewalks, and driveways. It is very simple to attach to your pressure washer's wand. It is easy as sweeping your floor with a vacumn cleaner. The price is affordable. I definitely recommend it for the homeowner. It saves time over the narrow spray of the wand. It cleans a path approximately a foot wide with ease. The only thing that I did before starting to use it was to purchase stainless steel fender washers and locknuts for mounting the wheels on the surface cleaner. I wanted to keep it from rusting and breaking through the plastic housing. It worked like a charm. I have loaned it to my neighbors and have received favorable comments from each one. It is a great product that made my life a lot easier. I have no negative complaints about the product.

Great pressure washer
Made my job 100% easy and faster,no need to keep going back over the same spots,my driveways look great. I don't think you can beat the price for a cleaner that workes this well.

In cleaning patio and driveway areas, it is a HUGE time saver. I would probably prefer that it had four wheels for a little better stability, but three wheels does allow for it to be more easily moved around in various directions. Its small size and relatively cheap price make it worthwhile for the individual homeowner.

Purchased the surface cleaner to use with my pressure washer to clean my tennis court. The attachment is much too light weight. The pressure of the water causes the attachment to "lift off" and make it impossible to guide. Also, doesn't work well within walls or fences because the body won't allow you to clean close to the edges. I returned the item.

Excellent Time Cutter
This surface cleaner works great ,I use it with a 3000 PSI Pressure Washer that I purchased at Northern. The surface cleaner cuts your time in half when cleaning driveways and sidewalks,I would recommend purchasing one.

Excellent for occasional homeowner usage
Used it today to do my driveway and front walk; last time I did them several years ago it took me 5 hours with just a spray wand waving back and forth. Today; including setup time for the machine, moving the truck, pulling out the hose...and then putting everything back in the garage.....TWO HOURS!!! Walked back into the house, and the wife asked me if I was going to wait until the next day to finish...I told her I WAS finished!!!
This is a good enough unit for occasional homeowner use, but if I did pressure washing for a living, I'd definitely have a larger unit - this one would be good for a "tight quarters" unit for pro use.
Only thing that I ran into is that you will find every undulation, valley, and hill on your driveway; because the unit will stop rolling, or suddenly kick in a different direction. Take your time, though, and you'll be perfectly happy with this unit. I'd definitely buy this one again.

Looked at more expensive first.
Most surface cleaners are crazy expensive! Was hesitant to buy this since it was so much less than the rest, but glad I did! Have had it for a year & it works great. Small/light enough to use on the screens of my pool cage. Cleans cool decking & driveways well.
I like to keep my equipment nice, so I coated everything with Corrosion-X before using. So far, no calcium build up on spray nozzle & everything works like new- after one year.
