NorthStar Pressure Washer Surface Cleaner - 20in. Dia. Size, Model# FCL520BEM22M0NS
I was not sure that this unit would work very well. After purchasing this product I was very surprised at how well it worked and the ease of using this product. I would recommend this product without hesitation.

After many feeble attempts to wash my driveway and patio, the 20" surface cleaner has done the trick! Several passes in each direction with my 3000psi washer left and evenly cleaned surface, ready to eat off.

Fast, easy, no problems
I've been using this cleaner for several years on a 100 foot double driveway and deck. Obviously, I'm not an industrial user. I've had absolutely no problems using it with a 3000 psi washer. It has been faster than holding a wand, even with a turbo nozzle. It's also less fatiguing. A key advantage is that it maintains optimum distance from the surface being cleaned. It has outlasted my pressure washer, which is no surprise, since it cost more! I'm about to try it with my new 4200 psi washer. I'll amend this review if I run into problems.

Do not buy
Had it for 3 years - it worked pretty good - its better than using a wand.
Today I went to do my patio and noticed it not working - turned it over and noticed a hole in the hub letting the pressure out - it must have been a factory plug of some sort - Not threaded - Have 2 choices find someone that can wield brass ??? or throw it away - Great

good but not great
for the money it is a decent product. you just have to take your time with it. i can actually do a driveway faster with a wand than i can with this but my back feels a lot better at the end of the day with this instead of being leaned over using a wand.

North star surface cleaner
When I first bought this surface cleaner I was amazed with it, But after I had the chance to try it out on several customer driveways, I am becoming less satisfied by the day. Its been repaired after having done only five driveways and now it is running slower than it originally did. I am trying to find a reason to like it but the quality may not be there. I cant afford to lose customers because of an expensive product that does not hold together and continue to work flawlessly. I am now looking at the general surface cleaner with the grease fitting on the hub.

Durrable, "adjustable" Works Great
I believe it’s actually a durable space cleaner that works very well once adjusted for what ever you're going to use it for. I use it with a 3000psi gas powered washer for decks, drives & etc. I will do the adjustments on the nozzles as JLC66 stated in another review. Thanks JLC66! I’m sure it will work great then! I just need a little more which I’m sure I’ll get now that I know what to do! It did clean a molded deck very well but just not quite as good as I had hoped. Overall I believe it is worth the money and as long as you don’t try driving your dump truck over it or drop it from a 10 storey building it is very durable and will last a long time and I’m glad I purchased it! Northern Tool is great and will definately see me more!

Not satisfied with the product
If you are going to use this product once or twice a year than I would probably say that its okay, however, if your planning to use it several times and have used other surface cleaners in the past than you are probably going to be disappointed with this product. The quality is not what I was used to and I returned it after one use. I will say that Northern Tool has excellent customer service.

Limitations of Pressure washer suface cleaner
1. I used product on brick patio full of weeds in cracks.
2. It did not remove the weeds and did a good job of removing dirt with soap.
3. However, I still required nozzle to remove weeds and clean along edges and corners.
4. Product does not require extension handle and can be adapted to othter pressure washers such as the DeWalt 1800 psi.

I bought the 20" surface washer to prepare 12,000 sq. ft. of asphalt paving for a seal coat. The washer arm rotated slowly at first, but a slight adjustment of the spray nozzle angle more that doubled the rpm's. The washer performed very well, cleaning moss and dirt out of the rough asphalt surface much better and faster that possible with a hand wand.
