DeWalt Impact Wrench This Impact Wrench has been a workhorse for removing ( and installing ) rusty bolts on lawnmowers, tractors,old cars, lug nuts, anything with a bolt. I have no complaints. My friends with air tools are amazed at the power. I have forgotten how long ago I purchased from you, but it has been used many times and still has the power of like New. The Model i have is DW290. It appears the Model DW292 is its replacement. I hope it lasts as long as i do ! May 15, 2012

DW292K - generally handy, but limited on torque I bought this impact gun mainly for working on vehicles and for odd jobs around the house, and didn't have the money to invest in an air compressor system. The advertised 345 lb/ft of torque is more than adequate for removing/installing lug nuts, driving lag screws, etc., but it would NOT remove some of the fasteners on the front suspension of my 4WD Ranger pickup. I let it hammer on one fastener for almost 5 minutes and it never budged. After that, I got out my trusty 1/2" ratchet with 18" handle and slid a cheater pipe over the handle to make it about 3 ft long. It still took a bit of effort (I'm 5'10" and only 160 lbs) but within a few seconds I had the nut broke loose. I work with mechanical engineers and we calculated I was only applying 250-300 ft-lbs to the nut, yet I could break it loose easily where the impact gun simply would not do it. Dewalt makes high quality tools, but I think they over-rated the torque output on this one. I said that I would recommend this to a friend, but only if they were not planning to use it to its full rated capacity. Mine came with a hardcase (K stands for kase apparently) which makes it very convenient to haul around and to keep it safe while storing. October 21, 2011

dewalt electric impact Great impact, I use at my feedlot to put up wood planks with 1/2 " lag bolts. Lots of power and very dependable. Trigger is very handy and easy to change direction. I highly recommend this impact. June 1, 2010

Great Driver I bought this impact driver to remove some stubborn nuts. It did a great job and I would recomend this for the hard jobs. I have never been let down by dewalt yet February 26, 2010

Dewalt Impact Wrench I bought this product to remove lugnuts from tires on older model work trucks. I was concerned about wether or not this product had enough torque to do the job. I was quite pleased with the results. It saved alot of time and I did'nt have to put all my might into it like I did with the old tire iron. Good value. February 26, 2010

Very useful tool This impact wrench is great for any home or light duty use. I have it for personal use only, but it is more than adequate for that. It is very well build and heavy. It has plenty of torque to remove any lugs I have encountered so far (even those tightened at the local tire center). I am extremely happy with this product and would highly recommend it.
