"We looked EVERYWHERE for Aerator shoes and these were the BEST. We live in the mountains where the soil is hard red clay, nothing helps to grow a beautiful lawn better than these. We just strap them on while doing yard work and after it rains you can see the results from a properly watered lawn. You won't be disapointed!"

"This item is just as it appears. Put them on and start walking. Does a good job if ground is not too hard. Only issue is the straps can get loose and may come off of your shoes. Recommend use with boots, not sneakers."

"I was very suprised about how sturdy these were when I received them. We have hard soil and these seem to go right through it with very little effort. The only problem we are having is keeping them tied to our shoes, theyh keep coming loose but we are going to duck tape them to a pair of shoes and that should solve the problem."

"Overall, very good value and works as described. Easy to assemble, and does the same job as an expensive, but "cumbersome" power machine. Only drawback is the straps on the shoes tend to loosen, causing them to come off frequently while being worn."

"They work great as a soil aerator but I have found an excellent alternate use. Before installing the spikes cut or grind them down to approximately 3/4 inch in length. Be sure to leave the tips sharpened and install the spikes for the best pair of non-slip ice shoes you ever tried."

"Great idea but poorly engineered. The straps are worthless...come loose after a couple steps and you walk right out of the shoes. Plan on constructing your own strap system if you purchase these!"

"After going through my options last fall for lawn aeration, buying, renting, outsourcing, I wondered what less expensive options there were. I thought about making some of these out of 1x4s or something when I found them on Northerns website.
Ive used them several times now, and for the price, even if they fell apart tomorrow, they are still worth it.
The straps like to come loose so I have to loop them around a couple times, and the spikes have come loose once, but overall what a great inexpensive way to break a sweat while working."
