Solid Brass Punches - 3-Pc. Set
I let a rookie install berings in a delicate piece of equipment and he screwed it up. These punches were perfecit for the job of knocking them back out .

I torture these brass drifts all the time to no end removing and installing bearings, bushings and sleeves. The price is the real winner though, so much cheaper than the same thing as what you can buy off the tool truck.

Bought these to use in restoring my 58 cj3b. Great for use on the transfer case, tranny, and axles. Have held up well and have been a very handy addition to my toolbox.

I have a set of these and they work just as designed to remove bearings without scratching the steel race or retainer. These have just the right amount of strength to do the job without bending or scratching steel.

Sturdy punches for what you use them for...to get ruined and not your engine!
I have used these for tranny and engine work, and they have not self destructed other than as you would expect, but still are sturdy.
Great value for the price and intended usage. Don't look much further. Only wish it had the plastic pouch, but not the end of the world.

There are bigger, nicer punches out there. But they cost many many times the price of these.
These are punches and I cannot see any advantage to buying a snap on set because at the end of the day, well, they are punches.
These have a nice finish and a very handy knurling. I use them for delecate bicycle and automotive use and am very happy with them.

Strong & Versatile
Since owning this set I have found it to be one of the strongest brass punch set I have either owned or used. It resists knurling and chipping better than many others I have ever used so I give it top rating for that safety factor in and of itself. Not to mention as always with Northern's tools the price is very affordable for the quality of tool that you can get.

This is a great deal on a set of brass punches. They are soft enough to prevent damage to metal yet strong enough to easily pound in bearing races and other automotive parts. The set has several sizes which was nice because I use all three for various projects. I used these punches to replace bearings on the front axle of a 1997 Land Cruiser. I could not have done the job without these. This is by far the best deal for quality brass punches/ brass drifts on the internet.
