Use a flex coupling to direct-mount your engine to pump. Oil-resistant synthetic rubber inserts are used between the coupling halves to provide an equalized cushioned drive. When ordering, get one side to fit the motor and the other side to fit the pump shaft dia. Order two halves plus insert for complete coupling. "I used this to couple my 10hp Tecumseh log splitter engine to a 16 GPM Haldex pump. Installation was a snap!! The coupler fit perfectly; likewise enabling me to be up and running in no time. After numerous hours of use there are no signs of wear or any vibrations, equally attributed to a quality part!!!"

"I used this to join a 13.6 GPM Haldex two stage pump to a 7.5HP Briggs Vanguard engine. The pump has a 1/2 inch shaft and the engine has a 1 inch shaft. The keyway and allen screw came with the coupling so there was no need to run to the local parts store. Very easy to install and works perfectly. Just remember to leave about a 1/16 inch of clearance between the two halves and your pump will work excellent with no vibration."

"These couplings were perfect for mating my motor to a hydraulic pump for a log splitter project. I just selected the proper shaft size for the motor and likewise for the pump. I combined them with the rubber insert and now I have a direct drive from motor to pump. Thanks Northern!"

Parts is parts, not always,

"I had a typical problem, 1/2" shaft on the pump and a 3/4" shaft on the Honda
5 hp motor. The standard coupling would not do, so the customer service
lady suggested getting one half of each coupling. Worked perfectly, with the
little rubber inserts included. I used one half part number 3002 and the other
half part number 3005. Once again Northern's assistance was great."
