Poor tire quality
I was quite surprised by the poor tread quality/tread depth of the new tires. It almost appears as if they were used (over-the-road) tires. The difference in the new tires and the original ones (off a 20 yo hand cart) is one of no comparison...the original tires win hands down.
P.S.
The new rims are of good quality.

Weak wheels
We purchased several of these wheels and tires for the high school ban trailers and had all of them fail with no load. We simply towed the carts behind our Gator in the parking lot in a figure eight pattern for two laps and all of the new wheels failed. The wheels are made of thin gauge metal and the welds snap very easily. Not worth the money or aggravation.

Not a Good Product
I bought two of these tires and wheels to replace the old ones on a small cart. They are supposed to have a 300 pound capacity. The first time I placed on a load on the cart the wheel broke where the roller bearing is attached. I called Northern Tool and they agreed to send me a replacement. After waiting two weeks to get the replacement it finally arrived. That same day, after replacing the broken tire and wheel, I began working with the cart again and the other wheel broke in the exact same location as the first. Needless to say I asked for a complete refund this time. I wouldn't recommend using these tires and wheels for use on anything as they are not what they are supposed to be.

A tire for many applications.
We have a very rare hand made hoist unit for lifting and placing of grave boxes made from cement and then using the same hoist unit to position and lower the lid to seal the unit, it is all done by hand including the hoisting.
This device holds up to a ton and has 4 such wheels, 2 on each side that allow turning and adjustments of as small as 1/4 of an inch to ensure proper placement and seals are done right.
The ease at which we can move such weights as well as the motion control is exceptional even while on wooden ramps, other tires we tried ether went flat due in part to rim and tire seals breaking but also from bearing failures these tires however have provide peace of mind in there quiet operation and reliability.
Since we do pull and tug this unit through very un-healthy areas for tires when we do get a flat it takes very little effort to effect repair in just a few minutes with such a simple to take apart design.
We used to have single rims and I can tell you without a doubt that they were damaging to everyone who struggled to remove the tire and then affect repairs and then fight it back on and hope the repair took.
I am never going back to single rims unless they stop making these 2 piece ones.
I feel I should perhaps buy 2 complete sets of 4 just in case but will have to wait for budget postings before I can get a surplus back up.
You will never be sorry you bought these tires.

DIY Kayak Project
I purchased two of these tires to build a kayak cart. I was able to have them shipped to my address for less than a 100 mile round trip to find any of comperable quality. They allow a 62 year old guy to pull his kayak to the ocean.
