Acceptable performance and a bargain price,

"I water a several acre yard from a pond with a high pressure 2" pump (Northern Tool) using several of these PVC discharge hoses to reach the furthest point from the pond. I have had good luck with these hoses up to pressures in the 40-50psi range without issue for two seasons.

The hoses are not perfect, however. I have noticed three issues that keep me from a 5 star rating:
1) The aluminum 2" male fitting is somewhat more prone to cross threading than the female brass fitting, which is very well made. This has not been a major issue, but complicates the assembly of several hoses in series.
2) The crimp banded compression fitting holding the PVC coated hose to the fittings varies in its quality and effectiveness. I have one hose that maintains a slow drip from this fitting regardless of pressure, and another hose that does not leak at all. This is primarily an issue at the male fittings.
3) The abrasion resistance of these hoses is modest. I have need to periodically drag the unloaded hoses across a paved driveway during my watering effort. I have noticed in one hose a small pinhole leak that has been generated as a result of this periodic abrasion. I am impressed that this pinhole leak has not been degraded over time at high pressures, which is a testament to the quality of the hose,"

"Excellent product..I purchased 5, 50ft sections to move irrigation water and they were exactly what I needed! Their flexibility allows them to be easily moved when full, and easily drained and rolled up to store. Am planning on purchasing more for my other pumps!"

"I use this to transfer water via pump to underground storage tank, so it's not under alot of pressure, yet at one end the hose leaks where the hose is clamp at the fitting. I image I could cut the clamp off and use a hose clamp."
