Dethatchers + Rakes

Dethatchers

Dethatchers

When a lawn or extended landscape shows signs of dead turfgrass mounting between green grass above ground and its root system below, intervention is necessary. If thatch gets too thick, it must be removed to maintain lawn health. Typically, a layer of 1/2in. of thatch means it needs to be removed, or it will overwhelm the new grass. That's where a good dethatcher or rake comes in handy. The dethatchers and rakes in this lineup include a variety of widths 40in.–60in. The dethatchers here feature a range of tine quantities, too: 20, 24, 27, 35, and 47. The rakes here include either 4 or 6 tine wheels. All dethatchers and rakes here are tow-behind units featuring several types of hitches, including a universal hitch pin, sleeve hitch, one-bolt clamping, and front mount JRCO bar for Husqvarna. Each unit features wheels that roll easily over all kinds of turf. This selection also includes a couple of dethatcher tune-up kits. Each kit includes double-loop replacement spring tines, flange bushings, clevis pins, and circle cotters. The grass in the dethatched area looks greener, fuller, and healthier. It's the look you want for your personal property or that of your landscape clients.
